Twenty-four-year old Alana Seebarran has left the shores of Guyana for Suriname where she will be engaged in various activities leading up to the Miss India Worldwide Pageant slated for February 25.

Ms. Seebarran will be competing against 35 other beauties in Suriname, with the hope of coveting the title of Miss India Worldwide 2012.

In November last, at the Guyana leg of the Miss India Worldwide competition, Seebarran outshone her eight rivals to cop the coveted crown.

At that competition, Seebarran was the crowd’s favourite to win the keenly contested pageant which saw the nine beautiful, intelligent, highly confident and charming young ladies compete in the evening gown, indian wear, talent and intelligence segments.

The Guyanese beauty queen has since expanded her fan base which is evident since the franchise holder of Miss India Guyana, Chandini Ramnarine indicated that almost 50 persons have already confirmed visiting Suriname for the pageant in support of Seebarran, while several others are expected to join the team.

Alana’s sponsor New GPC Inc. is confident that she will be a good ambassador, and will make her country and fellow Guyanese women proud. And to ensure her dreams ‘of excelling in the upcoming pageant’ becomes a reality, New GPC Inc. has recommitted to further sponsorship of the young lady.

Seebarran is a final year student at York University in Canada majoring in marketing. The charming young woman who won the hearts of the judges and the crowd wants to become an entrepreneur in the near future.
